Our Basic Handgun – First Steps class is designed specifically for new shooters, first-time firearm owners, and anyone looking to develop a strong foundation in safe handgun handling and operation. Whether you have never touched a firearm before or simply want professional instruction in a structured environment, this course provides the essential knowledge and hands-on experience needed to begin safely and confidently.

This beginner-friendly course is taught by certified instructors in a supportive, no-pressure atmosphere where questions are encouraged and safety always comes first. We understand that learning to handle a firearm can feel intimidating at first, which is why our instructors focus on clear communication, practical instruction, and building confidence step by step.
During the course, students will learn firearm safety rules, proper handling procedures, range etiquette, safe loading and unloading techniques, and the fundamentals of accurate shooting. Instruction also includes stance, grip, trigger control, sight alignment, and basic marksmanship principles. After classroom instruction, students will apply what they learned through guided live-fire exercises on our indoor range.
All necessary equipment is included, making this an easy and accessible way to get started. Students may use one of our firearms or bring their own if preferred. Ammunition and eye and ear protection are also provided.
This class is ideal for individuals considering firearm ownership, preparing for future concealed carry training, or simply wanting to become more comfortable around firearms in a safe and controlled environment. It is also an excellent refresher course for those returning to shooting after time away.
